Where I've
made things move.
Currently leading both the mechanical design and project management of an opto-mechanical isothermal material characterization tool, targeting 4x throughput over the existing prototype. Work spans gantry structural design, opto-mechanical system design, GD&T drawings, and managing a team of 4 across 3 de-risking sprints.
As a mechanical engineer at Teledyne DALSA, owned the full design process across multiple camera programs, with a focus on precision sensor alignment achieving ~10x better than previous capabilities. Work also included vacuum seal design, thermal simulation in ANSYS Icepak, and an automated end-effector for autonomous sensor array assembly.
Worked across two semiconductor metrology product lines at KLA, designing mounts, motion systems, and fixturing for x-ray tools, while also using ANSYS static-structural and modal analysis to optimize mirror mount designs for a thin films ellipsometer.
Worked on precision mechanical and controls engineering at KLA, redesigning flexures for more flexibility, and tuning an air bearing motor system to double its speed while improving following error.
